Flying solo

L.I to compare two aviators

For this task we compared two female aviators, they were Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. We compared these two aviators by using a Venn diagram.

  1. Hi Vayan

Well done on completing this Summer Learning Journey activity. Your venn diagram on Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart is great. They must have been super brave to fly such long distances in the new planes which had just been developed. If you could fly from England to New Zealand by yourself, would you? It would be a pretty lonely flight. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi Vayan, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the venn diagram you have created about two awesome aviators - do you want to be a pilot when you leave school, or maybe a flight engineer? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  3. Kia ora Vayan,

My name is Mani and I am going to be joining you on the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter. It is the last week of the Summer Learning Journey but I am so excited that you are joining us and giving yourself a chance to win some awesome prizes!

Well done on completing yet another activity! I am very impressed with your Venn diagram and enjoyed learning a few new facts from you that I haven’t seen from any other venn diagram yet! Do you think you would ever be keen to fly solo in your own plane. Would have liked to see a bit more colour or an image here or there otherwise ka pai, Vayan. :)

    Ngā mihi,
    Mani
