This week for reading we read a book about the Tangiwai tragedy. This happened in December 24 1953. The disaster happened at the small town of Tangiwai and was caused by 2 million cubic meters of water which came from MT. Ruaperu's crater and collapsed. As a result the Whangaehu bridge broke down which caused the train to crash. For our task we made a DLO that explaind what the Tangiwai disaster was about and a summary which told us what the text was about explained in a shor amount of sentences.
