Kiwi sport

Today We went to do our kiwi sport with Hamish. First we played a game of rippa
rush to warm us up. After we got warmed up then we played rippa rugby but When
we got ripped we could not pass the ball forward. After that Hamish taught us the
right way to pass in rugby You can only pass backwards or sideways.

Kiwi can

Today we went to kiwi can. First we sat in a circle and Miss. lily explained what our energizer was. After that we played the energizer it was bang. We had one person in the middle of the circle we had our hands like guns the person standing in the middle called out a name That person had to duck down and if they didn’t they would be out the people on the right and left side of that person had to say bang the person that hit first would be still in the game. Then we talked about how to be a good role model and who are some role models to you. After that we went straight in to our activity it was fruity tutey. There were four fruits and actions The fruits were banana, grapes, If Mr. Matt said banana we hat to spin around to the other side if Mr. Matt said orange we had to jump backwards if Mr. Matt said apple we had to jump forward and if He said grapes we had to duck down.

Writing

Today I did my writing it was explaining how a firework works. There are five main
parts a firework The Stick, charge, display, fuse, and the head. Each of this parts are
very important without even on of this parts the firework won’t work Like if there's
no head the firework won’t go straight.

Kiwi sport

.Today we played kiwi sport  which was rippa rugby with with Hamish. First we
played everybody's it in that game we had two rips and we had to get more by
taking out other peoples rips. After that we played rats and rabbits, there were
yellow cones and orange we had to go to the halfway line and stand the opposite
side of your partner if Hamish said orange the people near the orange cones ran to
it and the people chasing had to catch them. The last game we played was rippa rush
we had three teams and we played each other one by one you could knock on the ball
you could pass the ball ford if a person from the other team took of your rip you had
to pass them ball. Our main focus was making a rip.

Maths

L.I to measure volume and capacity.

today I did my maths. It was on volume and capacity. We measured the height, length
and width of two items and estimated how much it can holds. Then we multiplied the
length, height and width altogether to get the final answer.

Inquiry

Today I did my inquiry. It was about sensitivity. We did tasks comparing the human
nervous system to another living organisms nervous system like wolves and what
they had in common.

Maths

Today I did my maths. We measured lengths of  four things in LS1 like a table. We
measured millimeters, centimeters, meters and kilometers.We learnt how to convert
these four things too like example A table is 1 meter them it would be 100 centimeters,
1000 millimeters and 0.001 kilometers.

Writing

Today I did my writing. It was on a life cycle of a butterfly. There are Four processes
it has to go through. First The mother butterfly hatches attaches the egg to a leaf.
Then the caterpillar. After that it builds itself a chrysalis and stays inside of it for
some time. Lastly it will break out of its chrysalis and become a butterfly. That is the
life cycle of a butterfly.

Kiwi sport

Today I did my kiwi sport. For this term it was rippa rugby. First we played a game in
that game there were two teams the bibs and the non bibs I was in the non bibs. In
that game we had to tag our opponents and The  last person standing was the winner.
After that we played a similar game but with a rugby ball this time we had to get as
many players of the other team.Lastly we learnt how to pass the ball We vs the other to
get the ball to the end and we won. It was really fun.

Kiwi can

Today I did My kiwi can. First we went in and sat into four lines and Mr. Matt and
Ms.Lily explained what Integrity means. THen we played our energizer it was
opposites when Ms.Lily  did a action we had to do the opposite of it like if she
went right we had to go left. Then we played our activity it was terminator tag in
that if a person tags you you sit down and wait till they get tagged and you will be
back in the game. It was really fun.

Maths

Today I  did my maths. It was on the divider it is just like the multiplier. It gives
you division problems to solve. First we used the divider then we made a DLO
about it and then answer four questions. Those questions were: How did you
use the divider to solve the problem?. What numbers did you use?. What
numbers did you use?. Why did you use those numbers?. How did you
record your thinking?. We did these four questions on the DLO.

Writing

L.I:To what is cause and effect.

Today I did My writing. It was on cause and effect. We had to imagine something

that happens in our school like we played soccer and the ball went over the fence.

First we wrote the cause then the effect and add a casual language to join that

sentence together.

Reading

L.I To making connections with prior knowledge.

Today I did my reading. It was about making connections. First we read a book then we had to copy the stuff that were in the book and Write down text to self and the text to world. In text to self we had to write what it meant to us and in text to world we had to write what it meant to the world.

Maori

Today I did my Maori. We learnt new Maori words and wrote about our self, our family,
where we live and what our favorite sport is Maori in on a google slide.

Maths

Today I did my maths it was on capacity.

Capacity is how much things can hold. We tested out the capacities That how much
uni link cubes that these four things hold.The first one was a beaker the second one
was a plastic cup the third one was a pencil case and the last one was a red reading box.
First we tested the beaker then the plastic cup after that the pencil case and lastly the red
reading box. The beaker held 11 uni;ink cubes the plastic cup held 12 uni link cubes
the pencil case held 132 uni link cubes and the red reading box held 216 uni link cubes.

Writing

Today I did my writing it was on explanation writing. First we went on a google
slide and explained to us how to write a explanation. Then we wrote our explanation
about  our must do task list on a planner first we did the title then the introduction after
that the main points and last the conclusion.On the title we had to write a clear one so
the reader can know what it’s about. The introduction was to introduce the subject. The
main points was the all processes we do in the must do task list. The conclusion was if
your explanation began with an question could you summer rise an answer.

Maori words

First fireowry took our attendance if someone wasn't here we said owa if he/she were here we said I.
Then we sang a Maori song after singing the song we had to find out what they mean in English we
found that out on a Maori dictionary. Then fireowry wrote some some more words on the board we
had to make a google sheet and write those words. some words were hard to find but managed to find
all of them. After that if we were finished fireowry told us to search where Mauinaina is on a google map.
No one knew that where that was until they searched it up and it was outside of LS1 everyone was
surprised.

Kiwi can

Today we went to kiwi can. We learnt about integrity it means making the right
 choices even if no one is looking. We first Went to kiwi we sat in four lines then
we talked about integrity means.After doing that we jumped into our energizer it
was making the right choices there good choice corner and the other was the bad
choice corner and MR. Matt and MS.Lily some good and bad choices questions.
For our Activity we did terminator tag in that if a person tags you you sit down and
wait till they get tagged and you will be back in the game. It was really fun.

Guide dogs

Today I did my reading it was on Predicting

. First Mr. Ogilvie gave us a book and we had to predict  what the story is about.

We wrote our predictions and our prior knowledge on a google slide then we read the

book about guide dogs and it was about dogs that were trained when they were little

pups to help people that were blind or can't see properly. The dogs guide them to places

like supermarket, cafes, and restaurants. The guide dogs have a very special job.
