5 questions for Sir Edmund Hillary

L.I to Questions for Sir Edmund Hillary.
One of the activities for the summer learning journey was to make a list of five questions I would ask Sir Edmund Hillary if ever I meet him. The question I would ask are as follows:

1. What inspired you towards hiking?
2. What support did you get from the family, friends and the government towards your hiking career?
3. What are some of the key factors one must have to become a good hiker like you?
4. How were you rewarded for being first one to climb Mt Everest?
5. What advise would you like to give to all those who would like to become a well known hiker?

  1. Hi Vayan,
Well done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. The questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary are great. I liked the fourth one the best. I also wonder what he got for climbing Mt Everest. A medal? Money? Keep up the excellent work.

  2. Good afternoon Vayan,

These are some good questions to ask Sir Edmund Hillary during an interview. I like how you have talked about his inspirations, the support he received, key factors, advice and how he was honoured for the achievement he has made. I'm sure these would lead to some interesting responses.

Did you know that his face can now be found on the New Zealand $5 note? This would have been a big accomplishment for anyone! As a nation, we will be able to remember him for a very long time.

If you could interview anyone else in NZ, who would it be and why?

    Keep up the great work,
    Susie
