Tech reflection

This week for tech we started creating our joints for the foundation of our wood carving. To create the joint we had to chip the wood half way using a chisel and mallet, the joint had to be one wood thickness wide so that the other piece could fit in tightly.

PB4L

L.I to show examples on how to behave on the bus

This week for PB4L we learnt about the things we should not do while riding a bus, being well behaved on the bus is important because then you are showing respect to the driver and the other people on the bus. Our tak was to create a DLO show the rule you should follow on the bus, some examples are sitting properly, thanking the bus driver, staying in your seat during the bus ride.

Reading

LI : To write HOT questions.

This week our group did reciprocal reading. The text we read was Puaki. The text was informing us about the importance and the stories behind a Ta-Moko. In the text there were four origins of four people explaining how and why they got their ta-moko. In our reciprocal reading each person of the group was assigned a role, a clarifier, A questionnaire, A predictor, a summarizer and the leader. When each page was read each person would do their role (e.g: predictor predicts next page). While doing this we were tasked at creating HOT (Higher Order Thinking) Questions part of the text.
