For this challenge we solved a question regarding ta'ovala. Ta'ovala is a traditional Tongan piece of clothing worn for special occasions. Our main information was that for 8 ta'ovala 12 meters of material was used, we need to find out how many meters of material would take to make 26 ta'ovala. First we found out how much material it would take to make one ta'ovala which we did by dividing 12 by 2, 6 by 2 and then 3 by 2 which gave us 1.5. After that we multiplied 1.5 x 10 two times which gave us 30, then we multiplied 1.5 x 6 and that gave us 9. Lastly we added 30 and 9 to give us our answer 39.

L.I to find the most efficient strategy to solve the problem
For this Maths challenge we found the most efficient strategy regarding the amount of fish caught. Our main information was that the people fished for 4 hours, every hour they caught three fish, the let the first catch go and they caught 11 fish in four hours. We also figured out the amount of fish caught if the fished for 6 hours, 10 hours and 100 hours.

L.I to solve the most efficient strategy to solve the problem
For this maths challenge we worked out the average weight of the remaining four fish with out team. The four fish weighed 25% or a quarter of the whole catch which weighed 150 kgs. This was a division question so we used division to solve the answer.

One tree Hill
L.I to learn about the history of One Tee Hill
For this challenge I learnt about One Tree Hill. First I listed all the things I already knew about the hill like it is an active volcano. After watching a video about it, I then listed all the new things I have learn't about One Tree Hill. Some examples are that there were Maori living there and it is being considered for nomination as a UNESCO world heritage site alongside Auckland's volcanic landscape.
