5 questions for Sir Edmund Hillary

L.I to Questions for Sir Edmund Hillary.

One of the activities for the summer learning journey was to make a list of five questions I would ask Sir Edmund Hillary if ever I meet him. The question I would ask are as follows:

1. What inspired you towards hiking?
2. What support did you get from the family, friends and the government towards your hiking career?
3. What are some of the key factors one must have to become a good hiker like you?
4. How were you rewarded for being first one to climb Mt Everest?
5. What advise would you like to give to all those who would like to become a well known hiker?

My Beast

L.I to create a beast.

Here is my beast. His name is Isaac because I thought that it would be a really cool name. It has a wolf head, a human body with a cool sun glass and it shows that he is ready for the summer. On top he wears nothing and on bottom he wears blue shorts. He also has green eagle wings so he can fly to anywhere he wants to. Isaac likes to have fun on the beach and also likes to eat.

WWF goals

To research about the World Wildlife Fund.

The WWF stands for World Wildlife which was formed on 1961. This organization aims to protect life on planet. Over the years, this organisation have funded many projects all over the world to protect animal and its heritage.

How do they help the Freshwater seals:

One of the projects funded by WWF is to protect the seals which became endangered in Lake Saimaa in Finland. The ice in Lake Saimaa became very thin due to climate change. Thin layers of snow is not suitable for the seals to form lairs to give birth. The new born were left on the surface of ice and were prone to predators. The WWF helped in protecting this endangered species of this Lake by building snow banks. The snow banks helped seals to form lairs and the new born are protected from predators.
They help the Freshwater Seals by making snow banks for them so the pups can stay warm.

How do they help the Tigers:

 WWF have volunteers in different part of the world. These volunteers help as a wildlife rangers protecting tigers in harsh weather and from poachers.

Have they had any success in doing so:

WWF had lot of success in protecting wildlife.  Tiger protector project have lead to increase in wild tiger numbers in the world which increased for the first time in hundred years.  Likewise the number of other endangered species number have increased as well. These animals include Panda, turtles, Amur Leopard, Gorillas and many sea animals.

This week for inquiry we presented our activist slides that we've been working on for the last three weeks in our groups. Our activist was David Grossman, he is and Israeli anther and a activist since 1983-2016 and is 64 years old.

Facts about New Zealand

L.I to learn new facts about New Zealand.

This week for the summer learning journey on of the activities is talking about the facts that you didn't know about New Zealand. Here are my three facts. The first fact about New Zealand is that it has Southernmost capital in the world which is Wellington. The second fact I didn't know was that New Zealand is the first country to see the sun everyday. The third and last fact I didn't know was that New Zealand has more golf courses and book shops when you compare it to any other country's population.

This week for our writing must do we created a end rhyme using Twas the night before Christmas rhyme as our inspiration. My rhyme is three stanzas long and have four sentences in a stanza.
