kiwi can

Today we went to kiwi can.First we sat in three lines then we played our energiser our energiser was 21 it was same as last week. Then we did our main activity in our main activity we were separated in to three groups there Ms. Lily wrote a names of silly things like stupid and we had to act that and the person standing in front would guess it. After that we Answered GKQ questions it was fun.

Cleaning up our google drive

Today we cleaned our google drives. First we discussed where we should put the stuff that were in our drives we had one folder. For each category like maths folder and many more folders so that our drives don't get messy and we c an find our stuff quickly.

Today we had a Duffy assembly,our guests were Tayla hodson tomokino and Matt Jonson. Matt is a rugby player and he is currently playing for the blues in super rugby and he wants to be a PE teacher. Before he played for the Melbourne storm. Taylar is a former BMX rider and she won four national champions in a row and she was second in the world. Tayla played touch for Samoa,and she is currently a commentator and she interviews rugby players she  is an accountant and she is studying and want's graduate in law and she also want's to help sports people with contrasts.

Kiwi can


Learning Intention:to kiwi can leadership

I learned about...Today we went to kiwi can and our topic is still leadership.
First we went inside the room and sat in three lines. Later we started out energiser.

In our energiser we had to stay in three lines, face our group mates and in the
front of the line had to stand up and look towards their teammates. Ms. Lily wrote a
person's places, things or a cartoon characters name. We had to ask yes or no questions
to our team mates and they had to guess the written answer. For our main activity we
played a game. In that game we had two balls. We passed the ball to the person next
to us and we had to count to twenty one. Each person can hold the ball for up to
three seconds if they want to. We passed it on until we reach to twenty one.
The person who has the ball on twenty one is out. It was a fun game and I enjoyed it.

Today I did my reading on a new book it is catching an uga. We have to tell the story using the key words we looked in the book and we had to write twenty key words. WE had to write the reveal the events and the ending from the story we read first we did our reveal next we had to do our events and last we had to do our ending.

pop art recount

L.I to write personal recount using different sentence structures.

I learned about:

Today I did my pop art personal recount. For this recount, I used different sentence structures, which are simple sentence, compound sentence and complex sentence. Firstly I watched the video on different sentences structures and learnt the difference between these sentences with the given examples.

Simple sentence is a short sentence that includes only one independent information. The simple sentence used in personal recount is highlighted with green below. Compound sentence includes two information in one sentence and it also includes conjunctions like with, and, while , also to join the two information together. Compound sentence is highlighted with orange below. The last sentence structure I learnt is complex sentence, which includes independent information and one dependent information in a sentence. It is highlighted with red in my personal recount.

I learned by:

I learned about this sentences by watching different videos on sentence structures. I discussed about this with my friend Aden well. My mum also helped me to understand different types of sentence with examples.


Softball


Learning Intention: To  practice softball skills.

Learned about...Today we played kiwi sport and we practised our skills that we learned like monkydile, fielding and batting. First we were divided into two groups and my team did fielding while the other team did batting. While fielding we had to throw the ball two times to any of your teammates and then put it on top of the cones. After that we did batting where we had to align our knuckles, legs apart, bat on your dominant shoulder and your elbows up. First we had to hit two balls and after that we had to hit only one ball and run all the bases. When we were not sure if we could make it to the home base than we should stand on a base and wait until one of your teammates to hit the ball. Once the team mate hits the ball again than we could run to the home base. However we had to keep in mind that on one base, two team members can not stand and if we do so, the second player who gets to the base will be out.

Learned by ...We learned by playing a game called scatter ball. Scatter ball is part of soft ball where we learned about batting and fielding. Our teacher gave us the instruction and we followed the instruction and practised playing on the field in teams.



Team logo creation

L.I to Ls 1 Olympics.


Today we did our team flag. In our team there were five people and we created our team logo together. It took us one day to make our team logo and we were very happy with our logo.This logo represents our country and the team name represents our team members. The county it represents is Afghanistan, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and India. The name V.A.S.A.R represents the first initial of the team members name.

Maths addition and subtraction


L.I to practice maths addition and subtraction.

Learned About:

 Today I did my maths addition and subtraction. We were given a total of ten questions and we had to answer it in the Tables. We had addition and subtraction problems and we had to copy the questions and then we had to put the answers in the in their right places. Addition problems in the addition tables and the subtraction problems in the subtraction tables.

Learned by: I learned by listening and reading to instructions given.

Today we went to kiwi can our topic for today was giving things a go. First we started with our energiser it was rock paper seizes. We had to find a partner for each round  my partner for the first round was Aden. For the second round my partner for the second round was Lukaah  and for the third round my partner was Spelmen. If I win my partner would follow me in a line to challenge other people and their followers the person with the most people would win it was a cool energiser.For our main activity we had to act something MR.matt told what action to do and you couldn't talk there were four groups and I was in group four. After that we answered some general knowledge questions.Later we came back to the class it was really fun.

Kiwi sport

L.I to pitching

I did my kiwi sport this week and we learned pitching and how to run around the bases.First we were split into groups. There were two groups which included half of the class on one side and half of the class on the other. After this each group members ran to all the bases, one by one and touched the bases that were on the ground. Since it was a competition between the teams so we had to run very fast and touch all the bases quickly. We were though how to pitch. First we got into partners and my partner was Xavier. We were told to stand behind where the cones was placed and the balls were than we had to face in front and throw the ball to your partner.  We were taught the pitching technique and the technique was make a L with both of your hands an put one of your leg in the air and make a k and throw the ball to your partner. It was fun technique and I really enjoyed playing.

Addition and Subtraction


Addition And Subtraction 

L.I  To learn and practice addition and subtraction using two dices.

What did you Learn? 
I learnt addition and subtraction .  It was a very easy task to do because I already knew about addition and subtraction. 

How did you learn? 

I rolled two dice and the number i got on the dice I added the both numbers together. Also I used the same number for subtraction problems as well. I rolled the dice 20 times. This means I did 20 addition problems and 20 subtraction problems.


Keyboarding

For my daily 6 activity, I practised keyboarding. I have completed all three stages and how I can use my correct fingers to type. However I still have to learn typing without looking at the keyboard.

Catching mustelids

What did you learn?
Today I did my reading it is based on a story the story is catching mustlides. Mustlides are a danger to our native birds mustelids are ferret weasel and stoat they sleep in the day and hunt in the night. Mustlids have sharp teeth and short strong legs and soft fur they eat native birds that's why they catch mustelids because they eat native birds.

How did you learn?
I learnt by reading the book called Catching the Mustlides. After reading I summering the main point under the 5 W s , Who, what, when , where and Why.

All about my life
Events
I looked nice and beautiful when created for the first time by my master.  Everything around me looked so nice and beautiful and not long after I set out for my journey. I thought that my life in sea would be nice and calm all the time. I was glad to be given this life. I saw new creatures, birds flying in rush in fright, banging me from all sides.I wondered why they are in rush, not knowing that they are flying for life from the coming bad whether.
First time than I experienced rain and the my journey became rough and shaky. I got scared and could not see anything. But I kept my courage to survive. My next day was full of beautiful adventure, I made new friends and lost some friends as well during my journey. I saw different seasons in my life but in all seasons I gave my best to survive. I made mistakes on my way by breaking the clothes. However I corrected my mistake by helping a soldier fighting for this country.

I was betrayed by the one I helped and helped by the one I hurt once. I was broken into pieces from the shooting  by soldiers. I was almost drowned and thought that I have no life, but the birds whom I have hurt once help me back to my life. .  Although I am weak and old, I am still floating on my up and down journey of life in the sea.

Reveal
I thought my life in sea will be a smooth ride, but I was wrong. I met so many new people in the sea, some became my friends while some became my enemies. With time things change and I can not control it. My life was not same as I thought. However I continued with my journey and did not stop till the end.

Ending
My life journey in the sea taught me that we we can not have same smooth life all the time.
There will be good times and bad times during my journey.I forgave the one who hurt me, shoot me down ripped me in pieces and seek forgiveness from the one i hurt by ripping their clothes line off. At the end , it was all my friends who helped me, put me back on my normal life when I was torn , old and  could not float well in the sea.





Learning Intention : To learn writing the imaginative recount.

This week for our writing, we were asked to write the imaginative recount. Actually this is my first time to do imaginative recount. In order to do this recount, we had to watch the video about the little boat shared by out class teacher.  We can make out or imagine so many different things from this video.

After watching the video, we were supposed to plan our recount in Coggle as shown above under title, event, revel and ending.  This imaginative recount is very interesting than the personal recount i have done so far. Kiwi Sports: Softball ( Batting and Fielding)
Learning Intention: Understand and practise the game of softball.
Learnt About:

This week for Kiwi Sports, Ashley took us out for softball.  We were divided into two groups,
a group for batting and the other group for fielding. Both groups got a chance to do batting and
fielding and that includes each students as well.

The batters have to hit the two balls and the fielders are suppose to catch the ball and put it on
the cone near them. While the fielders are getting the ball, the batter has to run to each base and
back to its original base to gain points.  

I have realised that this game is very similar to the American baseball that I normally watch.
I learnt by:

Ash our sports teacher today gave us instructions about how to play this game.

She told us that while batting:


  • Our knuckles should be lined up.
  • Our hand together while holding the bat firmly.
  • Our elbow up to the shoulder height.
  • The feet should be about shoulder width apart.
  • We need to be focused on the ball thrown towards the batter in order to give the right hit.

We also learnt about soft ball by practising batting and fielding in the ground.





Today for my can do activity, I played Table Conga game. It was a challenging game and I managed to finish all levels. The last level was level nine and I learnt the timetable up till 9 x 10 as shown in the picture above. I started off with times 2 table and gained trophies in each stage. The trick of the game is to get the multiplied answers faster to avoid the virus. The longer one takes to get the multiplied answers in each stage, the more the virus gets in and it becomes hard to save one from those moving virus.
