For this activity we created a new outfit for Santa. When creating this outfit we needed to think about where we live and the things special to our area for example the weather, animals, flowers, etc. My design has a short sleeve shirt and shorts, I chose to make this type of outfit because New Zealand has a summer Christmas unlike most other countries and also because Santa wouldn't get hot when he is delivering presents.

I think it’s awesome that you’ve stuck to the original Santa Claus colours, but altered the suit into a classic kiwi outfit - shorts and a shirt. This is a very festive kiwi look! It also reminds me of a pohutukawa flower, which is also very representative of New Zealand summers!
I have noticed that your Santa Claus doesn’t have any footwear - is this because he would be more comfortable and cooled down in bare feet? My Dad and my brothers spend a lot of time without shoes on, so I wonder if this is a very kiwi trait, or just specific to my family! What do you think?

Santa has no footwear because i think he would be more comfortable for him and New Zealanders tend to walk bare feet.
