This DLO is about captain Tom Moore and his contribution to the NHS and to fighting the coronavirus in the UK. He has finished his 100 laps and has raised 23 million pounds. He finished his 100 lap last week, Tom revived a salute from the British army and achieved his goal of walking 100 laps before his 100th birthday.

ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration Captain Tom is to us all. I I like how you told us about his time in WW1 and you explained that he wanted to thank the NHS. How proud do you think his family are of him? Captain Tom shows us all a great example of paying it forward.

ReplyDeleteWhat a heart warming story. It is amazing how 1 person can have a such a huge impact and make such big difference. I am sure many people will be inspired by his story and it makes us all realise we can all make a difference in one way or another. Will you be doing anything special to commemorate ANZAC day?
