Commenting
For this weeks commenting activity, I commented on Aden Little Boat recount. He did really well for this activity though it was bit challenging and required little more effort. Aden is good at writing however I think the way he published it on blog was bit difficult to read as the writing were too small.
This Vs That
L.I To learn how to compare the Olympic game with our school PBS.
For this inquiry must do, we were supposed to work in pairs. Aden and myself used the websites to collect the information on Olympics motto, its creed, flag and the Olympics values and compare it with our school. I have realized that the Olympic values match a lot with our schools values.
Kiwi Can
This week for the Kiwi Can we played two games with Mr Matt and Ms Lilly. At first we were given instructions to follow and the students were equally divided into groups. The first game was the energiser game was call Tiger lo. The name tiger lo game from the name of two animals, Tiger and Buffalo. Students of each group were in circles and Mr Matt in the middle. Mr Matt than would call the name of the animals (tiger or buffalo) and the students have to make sound and act like the particular animals. Those who fail to do so were out of the game.
The main game we played was called clap jump. At first we had two taggers in out group and when Mr Matt claps his hand, we had to jump and get away from the taggers. When someone gets tagged means they are out of the game. Later the number of taggers increased to three. Unfortunately I was tagged out.
The last part of the activity was general knowledge questions. To answer the questions we were supposed to put the hand on the hand like a buzzer and call out your name. This week the Kiwi can was full of fun and at the same time I learnt that arguments need to be sorted in a good way. The Kiwi can chant say "When Argue Sort it out, Do Not Shout, Work it Out".

Playing softball
L.I To throw and catch a soft ball
Today we practised playing softball under the guidance of Alison. We were instructed to get with a partner and I partnered with David. There were two cones placed on the ground for each pair, about two meters about as shown in the picture below. We were told to get to the cone, one cone had ball beside it and one was with out the ball. I choose to move to the cone without the ball. David threw the ball towards me which I was able to catch and I did the same for David. We were shown how to catch, throw and how to move like a monkey-dile,(like monkey and crocodile) and the crab to catch the ball. In addition to these, we also practised the three ways of throwing ball, which includes high pass and ground pass. It was a fun game and we enjoyed it a lot.

Kiwi can
Today we went to kiwi can to play human bowling with Mr. Matt and Ms. Lily. The main purpose of this activity was to learn about positive relationship. We were divided into two groups. We played two games, the first one was the warm up game called freeze tag. If a person gets tag or touched, they will have to get motionless or freeze. Those students who were not tagged have to touch the frozen students and these students can play again. I think I got tagged a lot of time and I was untagged a lot of times too.
The main activity was about playing the human bowling. At first we sat in the circle and were given instruction about the game. Since we were divided into two groups, one group had to roll the ball ( like bowling game) to the player of the other team. If the ball touches or hits the opponent teams player, than have to sit down while others play the game. While bowling the ball, the player can not bend or move their leg. It was an interesting game and I learnt something new. At last we we asked some general questions as well and than we all moved to our classroom.
