Kiwi sport

Today we played kiwi sport. We played a proper game of softball first we came to the ground then Mr. Ogilvie told us to get in pairs my partner was Aden. Then we numbered in our pairs one and two  then we started our match first the team that I was in did batting first and the other team did fielding. My partner Aden was in the other team when it was my turn to bat Aden pitched the ball to me and when it was Aden’s turn I pitched the ball to him. After  that we threw three softballs all over the field and ran we could not stop on a base so we had to run all the way to home base. It was a lot of fun.

Chicken Olympics

Today I did my reading it was about a story called Chicken Olympics that book was about two sisters that planned the chicken Olympics for their three hens. First we wrote the key words we could find in coggle then retell the story in a video, but first we had to plan it out. We planned out on a google doc and on that google doc we planned out that which one would do the first part the second part the third part and onward.

L.I to learn about leadership

Today we went to kiwi can this week we have a new topic it is leadership. First we went and sat into four lines and we were told the instructions and then we played our energiser .It was hammer we had to find partners and we had to put our hands on top of one another then  Ms .lily would say up, down, or, hammer if she says up the hand that is down it goes up if she says down the hand on the top goes down and if she says hammer the hand on the top should hit the hand on the middle if it does not you are are out if it does your partner is out.It was a really fast game. Our main activity was copy me  in copy me we MS. lily would do a action and we had to copy it there were two teams and one leader for each teams  she would do a action and the leaders would have to copy it and show it to the people in the line  it  was a fun game.

Zombies recount

Today I did my writing we played a game to do this recount. Mr. Wong’s writing groups went to play a game called zombies so that we could do a recount and learn to play a new game. Mr. Wong explained to us how to play this game.Then we went to the field outside after that we took a tag and a belt and wore it around our waste. Then we started playing toe game all of us had a turn and MR. Wong did too Then we returned to our class and started doing our recount.

Commonwealth games

Today I did my inquiry it was about the commonwealth games.

In our groups that we were in we researched about the commonwealth games.

We researched about how long it goes for, how far it is from our school,

how many countries are competing, what is the logo and the motto of the

commonwealth games, about the three NZ medalists and who is Sophie Pascoe.

Each person in the group researched about one of these.Then we presented it on a google

slide.

LS1 olympics

Learning Intention: To the LS1 Olympics.

learned about...Yesterday we did our LS1 Olympics. We went up to the hall to do our Olympics every team had a separate place to sit. There were six activities they were Back flip, flotaious,A bit dicey, stack attack, this blows and ready spaghetti.All the activities were  individual but for one we started at nine o'clock and ended around lunch time. We had medal ceremonies for the people who came first, second and third for each activity.

Maths subtraction strategies

Today I did my maths it was subtracting using the three strategies they are fingers changing  to addition and number line. In fingers we took a video in changing to addition we wrote in text and in number line we took a photo.There were six slides and we had to make two copies of each slide and do one strategy one on one slide.

Cybersmart

Today we did cybersmart, we made a group of four and we were learning about what care means. We had to go on the manaiakalani site and choose one of the values on the site they were learning, hope, service, cooperation, honesty, respect, responsibility, care and joy . Today I commented on Aden's blog he did very well but he made little mistakes.

Homophones

   Today did my writing and it was homophones. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings.We had to take a photo that relates to homophone, write a sentence about the homophone and attribute the picture we did fifteen homophones and create three ourselves.

whakatauki

L.I To make a group whakatauki.

Today me and my group made a whakatauki or our own. We had to go on a google draw and send the draw to everyone else. Once we did we had to put our team emblem on there and our team motto, along with our whakatauki that we thought of.

I learned by going onto a google draw and then sending the draw to everyone else. Then by putting on our team emblem, motto and whakatauki.
